Change

Hi Everyone!

I know it's been a while since I posted! Sorry about that.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Today I want to talk about change!
Now, for the most part I don't want anything to do with change but sometimes it is necessary. Sometimes change can seem like a bad thing. A scary thing. I used to not want anything to do with it but I found that I don't mind it so much anymore.
I'm not talking about life altering change or anything major just a mini change.
Having anxiety made change hard for me because I liked things the way they were. I thought I wasn't equipped to mentally deal with change.
I knew that it was inevitable, though. You can't run from it. Getting a job was change. Going to school was change. All these things are necessary to moving on in life.
I started small. Nothing major. Nothing drastic.
I rearranged my bedroom. Tossed old things that I had no use for. That little bit of change made a difference. Just the act of moving my furniture around made me feel like I accomplished something. I was satisfied with myself.
I even dyed my hair! I was never a fan of dying my hair far from my original color but I went from brunette to bombshell blonde! It felt GREAT!
Change may feel like a big deal and maybe it is to some of you out there (it was to me) but sometimes it's exactly what you need. Even in the smallest way.
Change something that you can manage yourself. That way it won't seem so overwhelming or scary. If a big change comes around, instead of running from it you can embrace it. Think of your mini changes as practice for something bigger!

With Love & Support,
Anxiety Girl - xoxo
